Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Main OR Tech Support professional to assist in coordinating the daily surgical schedule and ensure instrumentation and supplies are prepared according to preference cards. You will verify specialty equipment availability and support operating room turnover with proper sterile technique.

The role requires commitment to Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm shifts, with responsibilities spanning equipment readiness and safety standards in a high-volume academic health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Relevant Work Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls or requests for cleaning services.
• Assists in preparing the room for procedures to meet special equipment needs.
• Performs instrument sterilization for specialized instruments; turnovers per AAMI standards.
• Responsibilities are a general overview and other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for equipment, supply, and instrumentational preparation and cleanliness for surgical procedures.
