Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support operating rooms and anesthesia providers. The role involves preparing ORs with equipment, assisting anesthesiologists, and maintaining inventory across clinical areas with occasional guidance.

The position supports the Department of Anesthesiology in providing patient care across cardiac, pediatric, vascular, and other surgeries, with a shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
• Prior or current experience in a comparable clinical settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts FDA anesthesia machine checks.
• Prepares general, MAC, or regional cases and equipment.
• Prepares operating room and calibrates monitoring equipment.
• Assists anesthesia care providers in OR and other areas as needed.
• Troubleshoots anesthesia machines, monitors, and equipment.
• Assists during invasive line placement and maintains emergency cart inventory.
