Job summary

Birmingham Surgery Center LLC seeks a Registered Nurse- OR to deliver comprehensive perioperative patient care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, documenting thoroughly while communicating with the surgical team.

Must hold an active RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred; OR experience required. Benefits include health, HSA, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license is required.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association; ACLS preferred.
• Previous OR experience required.
• Professional nursing standards and patient rights compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Assess patient health status and pain, formulate Plan of Care.
• Document patient records legibly and sign with professional title.
• Communicate pertinent information to staff for continuity of care.
• Ensure aseptic technique and proper surgical site marking; assist as needed.
• Anticipate surgeon's needs and manage blood products when required.
• Engage in professional nursing activities and maintain compliance with regulations.
