Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. in Homewood, Alabama seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

You will assess patients, plan and implement care, and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safety and quality. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license, current BLS, and OR experience; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Previous OR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological and psychosocial health status of patient.
• Verbally reports pertinent information to appropriate staff to provide continuity of care.
• Formulates Plan of Care for the patient.
• Implements nursing care plans tailored to patient/family needs.
• Demonstrates ability to assess and problem solve.
• Responds to emergencies.
• Demonstrates proper preoperative process – communication/report.
• Demonstrates proper surgical site identification and marking per policy.
