Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgery unit in a PRN Days, in-person role. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to surgical patients, perform assessments and document thoroughly in the medical record.

The role requires an RN license and a nursing degree (associate or bachelor’s). Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timelines, plus 1 year of experience; ASLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
