Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking a dedicated perioperative RN to assess patient needs before, during, and after surgery. You will lead the OR team, develop care plans, and ensure patient safety through documenting and evaluating care.

The role requires collaboration with patients, families, anesthesia staff, and ancillary departments, with on-call and variable shifts to meet unit needs. BSN preferred; ADN accepted with experience.

Qualifications

• One year nursing experience or perioperative experience.
• Leadership skills needed to effectively direct a group.
• Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of the surgical patient and develop a plan of care specific for that patient.
• Supervise room activity and coordinate schedule changes.
• Communicate with patient, family, physician, OR team and ancillary departments.
• Complete appropriate charting and documentation according to policy, standards and procedures.
