Qualifications

• Current Utah RN license is required.
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• BCLS upon hospital orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a surgical setting.
• One year of prior OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and other treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patient and family.
• Positions and preps patients for procedures; maintains sterile field.
• Coordinates cross-disciplinary care including transfers and discharge.
• Educates patient and family according to age and condition.
• Advocates for patient's physical and emotional well-being.
• Prepares and cleans OR suites; maintains equipment and supplies.
• May be required to take call.
