Job summary

The Orthopedic Surgery Center of Arizona in Phoenix is hiring a full-time OR Assistant to support surgical procedures, assist with patient monitors, and help with setup and turnover in the operating room. You will develop systems for stocking ORs and move supplies, instruments, and equipment throughout the day, contributing to efficient, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current CPR or BLS. CNA, MA or other certifications preferred.
• Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Knows and adheres to Center policies and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
• Follows peri-operative nursing care standards according to accepted policies.
• Knows and adheres to Universal Protocol.
• Maintains and demonstrates aseptic technique.
• Adapts to the unique needs of each age group in patient care.
• Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
• Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and teamwork.
• Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
• Remains calm and functions as a team member during stress and crisis situations.
• Informs Manager of day-to-day situations.
• Follows employee health and other staffing policies.
