Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Practice Coordinator to join our Surgical Oncology Office in Hartford. You will oversee daily practice operations, staff workflows, and scheduling to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic performance.

This role requires 2–3 years in a physician practice, leadership experience preferred, knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in a physician practice or medical office required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily practice operations, workflows, and staff performance.
• Coordinate provider and staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Support patient satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Lead daily huddles and facilitate communication between staff, providers, and management.
• Monitor front-office processes, including registration, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.
• Assist with payroll, timecard review, and financial reconciliation activities.
• Ensure timely completion of clinical workflows, forms, and patient communications.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies.
• Manage office supplies, equipment, facility needs, and staff training requirements.
• Support employee onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
