Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Practice Coordinator to lead the administrative and clinical-support staff within a busy primary care group in Connecticut. You will support the Practice Management team and ensure outstanding patient service and care.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage schedules, workflows, and coverage across the practice while maintaining adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate; an additional business or Associate's degree is desired.
• 2-3 years of experience in a physician's office required; experience with patient management systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Calendar).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the medical practice team adheres to all policies and procedures.
• Fill in for absentee staff, such as Medical Receptionists as needed.
• Act as a liaison between staff, clinicians, and management.
• Serve as a point of contact for guidance on medical administrative and clinical functions when the Practice Manager is unavailable.
• Coordinate PTO communications to ensure office coverage and staffing during days off and vacations.
• Work with clinical staff to respond to patient requests (prescriptions, returned calls).
• Oversee pre-op assessment, workflow, and scheduling of procedures.
• Maintain open communication with Providers, staff, and Management to sustain an efficient work environment.
