Allegheny Health Network seeks a Physician Assistant professional to provide specialty and critical care services within the PA scope of practice, across outpatient, non-acute, and inpatient settings. The role emphasizes emergency care, complex case management, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The position may require rotational coverage, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, with 24/7 coverage in some roles.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current PA Physician Assistant License.
• PA-C or board eligible.
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training.
• 1 year of PA experience in specialty or procedure-based setting.
• MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners (AANP/ANCC/NCC/PNCB).
• Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Prescriptive Authority from the practicing state within 60 days of hire.
• DEA Licensure Within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and diagnostic care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Prescribes medications and conducts minor bedside procedures.
• Coordinates complex care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Ensures accurate and timely medical records reflecting care complexity.
• Educates patients and families on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Stabilizes acute patient situations and communicates changes to attending physician.
• Completes required continuing education and quality improvement activities.
• Assists in surgical, radiology, or fluoroscopic procedures under supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned with privileging and job agreement.
