Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide specialty and critical care services within the PA scope across outpatient, non-acute, and inpatient settings. The role includes managing medical and/or procedural problems, participating in rotating coverage, and upholding high standards of practice and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• PA-C licensed or board eligible to practice.
• Substitutions: 4–10 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates diagnostic and emergency care in outpatient and inpatient settings, orders and interprets labs and imaging, and communicates critical findings to the attending physician.
• Prepares and electronically prescribes a full range of medications and performs minor bedside procedures within scope.
• Coordinates complex care with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team; initiates timely specialty consultations.
