Formación

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current PA Physician Assistant License.
• PA-C or board eligible.
• Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Records medical history and physical assessment, develops therapeutic care plan, and documents medical records for patients in physician office(s) and non-acute based settings.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies to determine and implement treatment plans.
• Makes medical diagnoses and institutes appropriate therapy within the applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Initiates emergency measures, treatment, or stabilization in acute patient situations such as cardiac arrest, hemorrhage, or shock.
• Ensures appropriate EMR documentation to support accurate medical coding and billing, and reports pertinent information to the attending physician.
• Educates patients and families regarding health and illness prevention, medications and treatment instructions, and community resources as needed.
• Communicates with the attending physician regarding the plan of care and involves them in clinical decisions within scope.
• Maintains continuing education and participates in patient safety, quality improvement, and patient engagement initiatives.
• Specialty specific procedures and expectations as privileged.
