• Implementation: care for patients with complex problems, bedside point-of-care testing, follow policies and prioritize care.
• Leadership: develop goals for professional growth, collaborate interdepartmentally, promote cost-effective care, give feedback.
• Patient assessment: determine priorities, assess discharge needs, plan with family involvement.
• Planning: coordinate with multidisciplinary resources, address cultural/ethnic planning considerations.
• Research: read journals and share applicable ideas with staff.
