Job summary

Corewell Health’s Troy Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to join the Post-Surgical Care Unit. You will provide patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, manage supplies and equipment, and document care in the electronic medical record.

This fast-paced unit values teamwork, critical thinking, and attention to safety. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 3:30 p.m. end on Fridays; orientation is a full week.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required
• Current CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Clerical/manage supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Documents in electronic medical record.
• Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities.
