Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking staff for 9 North Medical, a 35-bed Medical/Surgical unit at Royal Oak Hospital. The role is part-time with a Day shift, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 12 hours weekly, working Sunday through Saturday with every third weekend.

Qualifications include High school graduation, BLS, and CNA considerations. The unit supports a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with emphasis on patient-centered care and professional governance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital or nursing home preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Provides the services of an Observer for patients requiring constant observation.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Skills
