Job summary

USPI Fish PondSurgery Center is seeking a motivated Full Time Materials Manager to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room, performing outpatient procedures across several specialties.

The role focuses on purchasing, inventory control, stocking, and supporting the surgical team while maintaining state standards and center policies; work is weekday-only with some early mornings or late evenings as schedules allow.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Previous medical or hospital materials management experience preferred; scrub techs welcome.
• Strong customer service background.
• Strong math and counting skills required.
• Type minimum of 40 wpm preferred.
• Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred).
• Able to deal tactfully with public and other staff members.
• Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift heavy items above head and shoulders; up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities

• Orders and maintains all medical inventory.
• Performs quarterly inventory accounting.
• Checks in supplies per invoice and PO, delivers to locations, and prepares paperwork.
• Adheres to center policies and demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
• Follows peri-operative nursing care standards and aseptic technique.
• Maintains current skills in aseptic technique and operating room preparation.
