Job summary

Fairview Health Services, at University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank, has an opening for a Sterile Processing Technician on the night shift. You will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and supplies for procedures in a fast-paced OR environment.

The role requires CRCST certification or completion of a recognized central service program, with 6 months of OR or reprocessing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in an operating room, medical device reprocessing role or related role OR completion of an approved Fairview Sterile Processing training program.
• CRCST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, cleans, processes, assembles, sterilizes, stores, and distributes reusable instruments and medical devices.
• Sets up and distributes surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Operates instrument washers, sterilizers, and related processing equipment.
• Maintains compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Acts as a resource to clinical staff regarding instruments.
