Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of medical terminology course is preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
• Computer skills.
• Completion of the 120-day orientation: Successfully completes department and hospital orientation process; competence maintained during evaluation year.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects/sterilizes surgical products.
• Keeps case carts ready by coordinating supplies per surgeon preferences.
• Receives, unpacks, shelves supplies and maintains par levels for sterile inventory.
• Supports surgical teams by ensuring instruments and implants are available when needed.
