Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a part-time Sterile Processing Technician to support the afternoon shift in the Sterile Processing department. You will retrieve soiled items, deliver sterile instruments, and assemble OR case carts under supervision, ensuring quality standards in processing a variety of instruments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with on-the-job training up to two months, and preferred healthcare training or central service experience.

Qualifications

• Additional healthcare training or central service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions required.
• Successful completion of an on-the-job training of up to two months required.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, retrieves soiled items, delivers sterile instruments and supplies to designated areas.
• Assembles OR case carts while maintaining quality standards, decontaminates instruments, assembles general instrument trays, sterilizes a variety of instruments and supplies.
