Henry Ford Health is seeking a Technician-Sterile Process-Cert at the Warren campus in Macomb County. You will inspect, assemble, and evaluate surgical instruments to ensure sterility, quality, and readiness for procedures, supporting surgical teams and patient safety.

Qualifications include a High School diploma equivalency or equivalent experience, plus certification from HSP or CBSPD prior to hire. This is a full-time on-site role offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

• Credentials: Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or CBSPD obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsabilidades

• Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments, equipment, and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Perform decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers, and equipment according to instructions for use (IFUs) and established protocols.
• Correct instrument sets according to current standards, established count sheets, and/or instrument tracking systems.
• Maintain proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts.
• Perform regular quality assurance program audits of peers.

Join our dedicated team at the Henry Ford Health Warren campus, centrally located in Macomb County's largest city. Our facility serves the diverse, tight-knit community of Warren and surrounding areas, offering quick access to Detroit and I-696. As part of our Sterile Processing department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety for surgical instruments and equipment, directly impacting patient care and surgical outcomes.

Role Overview

As a Technician-Sterile Process-Cert, you will be responsible for inspecting, assembling, and evaluating surgical instruments and sets to ensure they meet quality standards. Your work will directly support surgical teams by providing sterile, functional instruments, contributing to the success of surgical procedures and patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
