Job summary

Aspen Surgical is seeking an Instrument Implementation Specialist to drive value by optimizing surgical instrument assets and reducing costs. This role requires on-site work at customer facilities, collaborating with OR, SPD, and Supply Chain teams to execute programs and projects.

The specialist will manage instrument sets, train staff on changes, and interface with Aspen headquarters and customer teams to ensure accurate product identification and successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in the OR or Sterile Processing Department.
• IAHSCMM Certification preferred.
• Must be onsite at assigned customer location(s) 80% of the time.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail.
• Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximize instrument savings opportunities.
• Evaluate instrument sets for condition and completeness; identify missing instruments.
• Integrate Aspen part codes into instrument tracking systems.
• Develop continuous improvement programs and drive changes.
• Manage capital, expense, and inventory budgets.
• Ensure surgical count sheets are accurate and current.
• Maintain organized, fully stocked inventories across departments.
• Review and update set contents and preparation procedures.
• Review purchase requests to identify Aspen sourcing opportunities.
• Track contract purchasing compliance and back-order status.
