Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit in Illinois. The unit is a 41-bed, high-pace environment collaborating with therapists, focusing on rapid patient turnover and comprehensive care. LPN responsibilities include medications, IVs, and patient education.

The role supports a team-based approach with RN and nurse leadership, includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus for external applicants, and requires a current IL LPN license with BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois LPN license is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• Experience in fast-paced ortho/urology unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Passes medications and IV piggybacks as ordered.
• Charts patient assessments and contributes to care plans with the RN.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and plan of care.
• Perform dressing changes, trach care, NG tube care and feeding.
• Reinforce discharge instructions and patient education.
