Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a data coordination specialist to support the BIDMC FIRST program's surgical informatics portfolio. You will extract and validate data from electronic records, coordinate analysis plans with statisticians, and maintain detailed data processing records.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years of related experience and SAS proficiency. Familiarity with Epic and hospital data systems is preferred; a Master’s in epidemiology or statistics is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
1-3 years related work experience required.
Experience with SAS.
Master's degree in epidemiology or statistics preferred.
Experience with STATA and Epilnfo is preferred.
Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Enters and extracts data on study patients from electronic hospital records, paper charts and physician office records, as appropriate, in order to complete data collection required by specific protocols.
Validates data entry and comparison of data obtained electronically and from medical record review.
Performs initial statistical analyses on data to create large databases from multiple sources, confirms complete data capture and calculates data abstraction accuracy among data coordinators and students.
Coordinates data analysis plan with other statisticians and leadership.
Keeps detailed records of data analysis process and procedures.
