Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) seeks a data-focused research support professional to assist in surgical informatics and pediatric opioid and post-surgical pain research. The role involves coordinating data extracts from electronic health records, ensuring data quality, and enabling downstream analyses in collaboration with hospital IT and informatics teams.

The position requires experience with SAS (and preferred STATA/Epi Info), familiarity with hospital data systems, and the ability to work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree in epidemiology or statistics preferred.
1-3 years related work experience required.
Experience with statistical software including SAS.
Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Enters and extracts data on study patients from electronic hospital records, paper charts and physician office records for data collection.
Validates data entry and compares data obtained electronically with medical record review.
Performs initial statistical analyses on data to create large databases and ensures complete data capture.
Coordinates data analysis plan with other statisticians and leadership.
Keeps detailed records of data analysis processes and procedures.
