Job summary

Wilmington Surgcare is seeking a Registration and Scheduling professional for on-site duties in Wilmington, NC. The role involves greeting patients, completing registration for surgery, collecting insurance information and copays, and preparing charts for procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (Associates preferred) and at least two years of medical office experience, plus basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Two or more years of medical office experience required.
• Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors.
• Completes the registration process for all patients scheduled for surgery.
• Reviews procedure details, obtains insurance information, and collects copay/deductibles on the day of surgery.
• Prepares charts prior to the day of surgery, including all forms related to the specific procedure.
• Understanding of medical claims billing is a plus.
