Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a Registration and Scheduling Clerk to greet patients, complete the registration process for surgery patients, and collect copays and deductibles on the day of surgery. The role includes preparing charts for procedures and reviewing required forms related to specific surgeries.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma; an Associates degree is preferred, and two+ years of medical office experience is required. On-site location in Wilmington, NC is indicated.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors.
• Complete the registration process for patients scheduled for surgery, review procedures and insurance information.
• Collect copay and/or deductibles on the day of surgery.
• Prepare charts prior to day of surgery with forms for the procedure.
• Have basic knowledge of medical terminology; understanding of medical claims billing is a plus.
