Job summary

MPOWERHealth is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to support robotic and traditional surgeries in spine, urology, and general robotics. Join a team focused on exceptional patient care and operational excellence, and contribute to both pre- and post-operative patient experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years as a Surgical First Assistant with robotics exposure, hold a PA/NP/RNFA/CSA credential, possess an active license, and are proficient with EMR and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as a Surgical First Assist with robotics experience in spine, robotics and urology.
• Graduate of an accredited PA, NP, RNFA, or CSA program.
• Active state license and national certifications (e.g., NCCPA for PAs, CNOR or RNFA for NPs).
• Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted first assist during robotic and traditional surgeries (spine, urology, robotics).
• Anticipate surgeon needs, maintain sterile field, optimize patient positioning.
• Coordinate with OR team for precision, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Connect with patients before surgery and ensure they feel informed and at ease.
• Provide detailed handovers to PACU and facilitate smooth transfers.
• Engage in clinical and operational improvement projects and training.
