Job summary

Vitruvian Health seeks a Surgical Technologist First Assistant to perform scrub tech duties and assist the surgeon and RN in caring for the surgical patient. Must know aseptic techniques and instrument handling.

Education includes Surgical Technology and a First Assistant course; CST/CFA or SA-C certification with 3+ years OR experience across multiple specialties. Role includes tissue retraction, hemostasis, wound closure, patient positioning, and draping.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an Surgical Technology program or equivalent Allied Health entry route.
• Licensure: CST or CST-CFA or SA-C certification with 3 years CST experience in multiple specialties.
• Experience: 3+ years progressive OR experience including scrubbing and first assisting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub tech/First Assistant duties for surgical cases.
• Assist RN and surgeon; apply aseptic technique and assist with tissue retraction.
• Position patient for best access; prepare site; drape; provide hemostasis and wound closure.
