Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist Assistant to support the surgical team under the surgeon’s supervision. You’ll assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and efficient procedure flow.

The role requires CST certification through NBSTSA/NCCT/AAHA, plus certifications (CSFA/CSA/SA-C) and a BLS credential within 30 days of hire. Prior CST experience is preferred and a strong teamwork mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist Certification through NBSTSA, NCCT or AAHA.
• Must have CSFA, CSA or SA-C certification options listed.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical skills to prepare for surgical procedures.
• Assists physician, nurse and team during perioperative care.
• Delivers direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assists in scheduling OR cases and uses EMR when applicable.
• Maintains sterile technique and proper instrument handling.
• Ensures safe patient positioning and wound dressing application.
