Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a part-time Surgical Assistant to provide direct assistance to physicians in procedural areas, including invasive and non-invasive techniques. The role supports the surgical team with visualization, hemostasis, tissue handling, and patient positioning, following state practice standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, NCCSA NSaa or NBSTSA CSFA certifications, and BLS; minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides visualization of the operative site and assists with tissue manipulation, retraction, suction, and irrigation.

• Assists with wound dressings, drainage systems, and patient positioning for comfort and safety.
• Performs duties following state practice standards and professional guidelines.
• Supports the surgical team and maintains a culture of safety and reliability.
