100 LCMC Health seeks a Surgical First Assistant to support exposure, hemostasis, closure and intraoperative tasks under supervision, with preoperative and postoperative duties to enhance patient care.
You will collaborate with the surgical team, assist with wound closure, dressings and drainage, and participate in volume replacement as appropriate. Licensure and NSAA/SA-C certification are required.
The Surgical First Assistant provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. In addition, the assistant performs preoperative and postoperative duties to better facilitate proper patient care. All activities are performed under direction and supervision, in accordance with LCMC policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
