Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Assistant to support neurosurgical procedures by assisting physicians in invasive and non-invasive techniques. You will participate in tissue handling, hemostasis, patient positioning, and closure under supervision in a high-stakes surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience as a surgical assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provides visualization of the operative site and assists with tissue handling, retraction, suction, and irrigation.
• Assists with achieving hemostasis using appropriate technique.
• Aids in body plane closure, wound dressings, and drainage systems.
• Assists patient positioning using stabilizing equipment for safety and comfort.
