Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center seeks a Certified Surgical Assistant to support physicians in both invasive and non-invasive procedures. You will visualize the operative field, assist with hemostasis, tissue handling, wound dressings, and patient positioning to maximize safety and comfort.

A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience is preferred. Requires a high school diploma or GED, NCCSA/NSAA/NBSTSA certification, and BLS within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides visualization of the operative site and assists with tissue manipulation, retraction, suction, and irrigation.
• Assists with hemostasis, body plane closure, wound dressings and drainage systems.
• Positions patient using stabilizing equipment to maximize comfort and safety.
• Performs duties per state practice standards and organizational policies.
• Supports surgical team in both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
