Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Surgical First Assistant in Naples, FL for a full-time role with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The candidate will support surgeons during procedures, maintain sterile fields, and provide instruments and supplies as needed.

NBSTSA CSFA/CSA or CST credentials are preferred, with robotics experience encouraged. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork with nurses and anesthesia, and adherence to infection control standards in a busy surgical

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or First Assistant in an acute care setting.
• Experience with aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in, prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Perform first assistant duties including exposure, suctioning, retraction and tissue handling as directed by the surgeon.
• Manage tissue dissection, vessel control, drainage placement and wound closure as instructed.
• Assist with post-procedure room turnover and instrument decontamination.
