Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Full Time Non Union Admin Support to provide patient out-of-pocket and surgical estimates to elective surgery candidates prior to procedures. The role reports to Manager Surgical Scheduling and Insurance Verification in Surgical Scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Focus on calculating coststr and preparing estimates for surgeries.
• Utilize payer websites to determine current patient out of pocket amounts due and utilize various tools to estimate procedure cost and reimbursement.
• Communicate to patient out of pocket estimates in advance of surgery. Record any communications in the system.
• Escalate any issues and concerns.
• Maintains positive relationships with all customers, employees, physicians, patients, visitors and guests.
• Uses sound customer relation practices and maintains high levels of visibility and accessibility
• Understand various payer reimbursement methodologies
• Document results and alert supervisors or managers of trends.
• Complete productivity reports and submit to supervisors within the established timeframe.
• Support the department's customer service and performance improvement goals.
• Collaborate with other staff to enhance patient care and service.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure Requirements
