Job summary

Stryker in Washington, DC is seeking a field-based OR equipment support specialist to manage surgical devices and ensure readiness across procedures.

You will work with surgeons, OR teams, and hospital biomed staff, troubleshoot equipment in real time, maintain records, and comply with HIPAA and facility policies. Some shifts may include on-call, overnight, or weekend coverage with regional travel.

Qualifications

• Operating room experience and knowledge of anatomy and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly in high-stress environments.
• Willingness to provide coverage across shifts and travel as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment.
• Anticipates device needs of OR staff and surgeon during procedures.
• Troubleshoots and maintains Stryker equipment and related devices.
• Coordinates with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, and biomed.
• Records data metrics and maintains up-to-date account information.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
