Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of management experience
• Ability to build cooperative working relationships with diverse personnel
• Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities in Surgical Education Technology Programs
• Knowledge of government contracting practices and regulations as they impact technology research programs
• Ability to write technical proposals and reports
• Understanding of curriculum development and learner assessment
• Budget planning for ongoing operations and grant proposals
• Work well in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
• Strong computer skills and quick learning of new applications

Responsibilities

• Oversee Center operations and surgical education programs
• Develop and implement training programs for UCLA, community, national, and international audiences
• Expand accreditation, simulation, certification, and research programs
• Develop and support grant proposals and funding initiatives
• Oversee education budget, purchasing, and equipment maintenance
• Provide instruction and proctoring for surgical technology and skills assessments
• Lead specialists for surgical simulators and interventional technologies
• Supervise administrative and simulation staff and recruit volunteers
• Ensure continuous improvement of simulation-based education programs
