Qualifications

• Credential in Surgical Technology from a national credentialing organization accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Minimum of three (3) years of operating-room experience or teaching experience in the field within five years prior to hire date.
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or AS in ST credential required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and implement curriculum objectives under the direction of the Director of Surgical Technology.
• Prepare, administer, grade, and record examinations.
• Discuss students’ concerns related to learning and academic progress.
• Plan and assign student activities in classroom and clinical settings to achieve program objectives.
• Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
• Serve as a professional role model for students.
• Develop lesson plans and deliver them through lecture, demonstration, and discussion.
• Oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions, provide hands-on instruction, ensure safety protocols are followed.
