Job summary

BD in Warwick, RI is seeking a field-based Medical Sales Representative to drive territory growth and advance BD products with surgeons and hospital staff.

You will present, educate, and provide on-site support, build new accounts, train customers, and ensure product knowledge remains current; travel up to 60%. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of sales experience are required, with medical sales preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years general sales experience; medical sales preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Willingness to travel at least 60%, including overnight travel.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's license and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the territory and budget.
• Increase sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Present, educate, and provide in-services on product use to surgeons and OR staff.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure proper use of products.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on product use and updates.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of products, channels and distribution.
• Develop new prospects and establish customers.
• Inform customers of product updates, pricing, and forecasts.
• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Attend meetings and tradeshows; report outcomes.
• Establish Davol products as standard for bid accounts.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
