VCU Dental Care is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to support Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery providers in patient care, including surgical procedures, sedation monitoring, imaging, and pre/post-operative support.

The role involves preparing sterile operatories, assisting during complex surgeries, monitoring sedated patients, and ensuring accurate documentation, inventory control, and regulatory compliance. A high school diploma is required; sedation training and experience are preferred.

Competenze

• Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, four-handed dentistry, and sterile technique.
• Knowledge of sedation monitoring, infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
• Ability to support operative workflows in a high-acuity clinical environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
