Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to support the practice with scheduling, patient flow, and coordination of tests, procedures and surgeries across our facilities in New Jersey.

You will verify patient demographics, obtain precertifications, coordinate pre- and post-operative care, and ensure accurate documentation while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining compassionate care.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with patient scheduling, coordination and documentation is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates all aspects of tests, procedures and surgeries under direction of the Practice Supervisor or Manager and physician(s).
• Verifies patient demographics and obtains precertification from the payer.
• Schedules procedures, communicates appointment and prep information to patients, and ensures proper equipment and supplies are available.
• Maintains block time guidelines and coordinates post-operative care as directed by the provider.
