Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Surgical Coordiniator to coordinate all aspects of pre-op testing, procedures, and surgeries within our surgical services. You will work with care teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant patient flow across departments.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with two years of related experience, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment. HIPAA knowledge and CPR certification are preferred.

The Surgical Coordiniator are responsible for coordination of all aspects of tests, procedures and surgeries.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs plus two years of related experience


• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required


• The ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 2 years of progressive experience in a medical office is preferred


• Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines


• Surgical coding knowledge (CPT and ICD-10) preferred


• CPR certification is preferred
