The Professional Surgical Coder I at South Shore Health System is responsible for the accurate and timely assignment of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and E/M codes for inpatient and outpatient services. This role reviews clinical documentation, assigns diagnoses and procedures, and queries providers to ensure accuracy and optimal reimbursement.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in Medical Information Technology, 2–3 years in a surgical practice, CPC or CCS-P certification, and strong computer and

Competenze

• Associate's degree in medical information technology or equivalent.
• Course work in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology required.
• Prospective payment preferred.
