Job summary

Alteva RCM is seeking a Coding Auditor to perform internal coding audits across assigned specialties and client accounts, assessing coding accuracy, documentation sufficiency, and payer guideline compliance. This role produces well-documented audit findings, supports corrective action follow-through, and contributes to the department's compliance monitoring and education efforts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional medical coding experience across at least one specialty.
• Active coding credential required (CPC, CCS, CIC, or equivalent); CPMA or audit-focused credential preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and payer coding requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce clearly documented findings.
• Effective written communication skills in a professional context.

• Audit Execution: conduct routine coding audits across assigned specialties and client accounts.
