Job summary

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Oregon is seeking a CNA for the Surgical unit. This full-time, 0.90 FTE position covers night shifts (1900-0730) with a pay range of $22.35–$33.16 per hour. The role focuses on hands-on post-surgical patient care, vital signs, and ensuring a safe recovery environment.

You will join a collaborative care team, with opportunities for growth and a strong emphasis on consistent shift coverage, patient dignity, and meaningful patient connections.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon CNA certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are important.
• Experience in post-surgical or hospital settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients after surgery with moving, resting, eating, and recovery.
• Take vital signs and monitor intake/output, reporting changes to the RN.
• Provide personal care ensuring dignity and comfort.
• Assist with mobility to prevent complications and aid recovery.
• Keep rooms clean, stocked, and ready for care.
