Job summary

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Surgical 7. This Full-Time night shift (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) position offers a pay range of $24.07 - $36.15 per hour.

The department focuses on post-surgical patient recovery and compassionate care within a close-knit team. You will provide hands-on care under RN supervision, assist with daily activities, document vital signs, and support unit operations, contributing to a safe and healing

Qualifications

• Washington State CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs and ability to support patients across life stages.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay organized and adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and support to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with daily activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
• Assist with walking, transfers, and bed mobility.
• Take and document vital signs and other observations.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate concerns to the nursing team.
• Record intake/outtake and other routine care information.
• Support basic treatments and care activities as delegated by nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and organized for quality care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Assist with unit operations, including phones and orders.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for patients and families.
