Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join the Surgery team on a full-time days schedule. You will support patient assessments, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate documentation to deliver high-quality care in a busy surgical setting.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma, CMA program completion, and BLS within 30 days of hire; 2 years of medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years medical office experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient assessments and treatments
• Performing basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
• Monitoring and communicating changes in patient condition
• Documenting patient care given
• Maintaining equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting
• Performing administrative or clerical duties as assigned/needed
