Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our GI & Liver team in a full-time, days schedule. You will support patient assessments, basic procedures, specimen collection, and documentation in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and CMA program graduation; BLS within 30 days of hire and a minimum of 2 years medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performing basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitoring and communicating changes in patient condition.
• Documenting patient care given.
• Maintaining equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Performing administrative or clerical duties as assigned/needed.
