Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Full-Time Charge Auditor for our Business Office. This role collaborates with multiple departments to ensure accurate entry of charges and billing integrity.

You will verify implants and prices, correct missing charges, and maintain billing accuracy across procedures, rooms, and services while upholding patient confidentiality and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in charge entry/audit.
• Shift 8:00–4:30pm.
• Ability to communicate with patients, physicians, and staff.
• Proficient with computers and software applications.
• Maintain confidentiality of health information.

Responsibilities

• Work with all departments to ensure charges are entered and recorded.
• Enter and correct missing charges with high attention to detail.
• Verify implants used and pricing with the materials sheet.
• Verify pretesting charges are billed correctly.
• Enter PT/OT charges.
• Verify case types, dates, and times for accuracy.
• Verify room, extended recovery, and blood charges are billed appropriately.
• Notify business office manager of problems with charges or billing.
• Maintain good communication with administration and staff.
• Comply with internal control practices and policies.
